Another week another new MIT–ORNL study introduces the Iceberg Index, estimating that AI could already replace nearly 12% of U.S. jobs, far higher than the 2.2% figure suggested by earlier methods. The biggest exposure sits in administrative and financial services. This might be higher for other markets or regions, something to keep an eye on.
S&P Downgrades Tether Stablecoin Rating to “Weak”
S&P Global warned that Tether’s reliance on volatile assets like Bitcoin could leave USDT undercollateralized in a downturn. The agency assigned a “weak” rating, increasing concerns about the stability of the world’s biggest stablecoin. I’m still hopeful for stablecoin and it’s use cases but this seems like a reasonable assessment of associated risk.
Global RAM Shortage Sends Memory Prices Surging
RAM prices are spiking fast as supply tightens and AI data centers soak up global inventory. Retailers are updating prices daily, and the crunch is spreading to GPUs with consoles and consumer hardware likely next. Look at the black friday deals on RAM and you’ll see what I mean.

🛠 Tool of the Week
Tella
Tella is one of the easiest ways to create clean, polished videos without touching heavy editing software. You can record your screen and camera, switch layouts instantly, and edit everything in a simple, browser-based interface. I like it because it removes friction, no timeline scrubbing, no complex tools, just fast recording and clean exports. Great for product demos, investor updates, async team communication, and social content.
